Woody Allen

Today I want to share with all of you my opinion about one of my favorite film directors and actors: Woody Allen.

I started watching his films when I was too young, that´s why I couldn´t understand his humor and his originality at first. When I grew up I started to perceive his double senses and what he wanted to convey. I also liked the actors with whom he worked and finally he became one of my favorite directors.

I would like to recommend you some of the films which he has directed that I like the most.

Match Point: This is one of the most famous films he has directed. Actors such as Scarlett Johansson act in this movie. It tells the story of an ex-tennis promise that goes to London to teach. There he will meet a rich woman with whom he will marry, although he will fall in love with another. That is what is known before seeing it, but it is an unpredictable story.

So if you like surprises and reflections of changes in life I recommend you to watch it.

Magic in the Moonlight: This humorous film has actors as Emma Stone or Colin Firth. It is a romantic comedy about an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible swindle. This movie also has a personal and professional complication in it.

If you like laughing, magic and the French Riviera you should watch it.

Irrational man: This is other example of the peculiar humor Allen has. Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix act in this movie. It´s about a tormented philosophy professor that finds a will to live when he commits an existential act.

If you like to watch a different story of a crime and its consequences with some laughs I recommend you to watch it.

Midnight in Paris: If I have to choose one of my favorite films I would probably lean towards this. It stars Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard. The plot tells the story of a nostalgic screenwriter that while on a trip to Paris with his fiancée´s family, finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s every day at midnight.

If you like art, history, literature, bohemia, Paris and the 20s, you have to watch this film.
