Post Malone

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), also known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer.

Born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Grapevine, Texas, Malone rose to fame in 2015 following the release of his debut single "White Iverson". The song, which peaked at fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and later certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), garnered Malone a recording contract with Republic Records. He released his debut studio album Stoney in 2016, which debuted at number six on the Billboard 200. The album, which featured the top-10 hit "Congratulations", would soon become certified double platinum.
His second album, beerbongs & Bentleys, was released in 2018, and featured the single "Rockstar", with 21 Savage. The song rose to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Malone's first number 1 as a solo artist . Upon release, the album would break several streaming records en route to debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, while also gaining platinum certification in the first four days of release.

I started listening to Post Malone about 5 months ago sporadically and loose songs, it was not until a couple of months ago that I talked with people who recommended me to listen to the rest of his discography, which I hadn’t yet heard in depth. After that I started to listen to all his repertoire in repeat until I got to learn most of the songs by heart.

Personally I think he is an artist that is not defined by a specific genre and that is what I like the most about him, since not all the songs sound the same as it happens with some artists of which I end up getting tired of, thanks to this his songs get from making me reflect on life to make me jump or just forget my problems and concerns and I think this is a very positive quality in any band or singer.
